Construction Details
Proline boats are of modern conventional construction, built with modified polyester resins, E-glass fiberglass cloth & mat and composite coring materials. The hull is a solid fiberglass laminate layup below the waterline with cored hull sides above the waterline. The hull is reinforced with a fully bonded fiberglass stringer system . The deck is also a fiberglass laminate with coring used to stiffen the fore deck and cockpit sole. The hull to deck joint is a "shoe box" style that is chemically and mechanically fastened together.
Model History
Proline has a 43 year history of building tough fishing boat for those venturing offshore for their catch. Today's modern Proline are as fine a boat as the company has ever produced. Their wood-free construction helps insure the boats will give years of dependable service with no chance of structural issues from rot. Proline introduced the all-new 26 Express in the latter part of 2007, as a 2008 model, and a replacement for the old 25 Walkaround model. Proline had already introduced two larger Express models, the 32 & 29, and was looking to expand the scope of this new and very successful line of boats. There have been no substantial changes to the boat since introduction. The 26 Express remains an integral part of the Proline lineup to this day.
Cabin
The cabin of the 26 Express is simple and straight forward. The area has a V-shape dinette with removable table and seating for up to four. The table can be removed and replaced with an insert and filler cushion that will convert the area to a berth for two. At on starboard is a recessed porta-potti while across on port is a molded-in fiberglass sink with pressure water faucet. Hull side shelves lines the area on both sides. There are two opening ports and one overhead hatch. Additional storage can be found beneath the settee.

A unique feature of the fiberglass top is the use of the windshield frame as a structural member of the top's support. If you look at the pictures of the top, you will see that there are no transverse tubes needed to support the structure. This new design has the forward legs of the top land on the oversized windshield frame; a frame that has been engineered to distrubute the load down to the fiberglass deck.
