The Wellcraft 32 St. Tropez is one of the all-time classic express cruisers. This vessel is powered by a pair of Mercury 350 CID / 260hp inboard engines with v-drives showing only 750 original hours. There as a 5kw Onan generator to provide AC power while away from the dock. The interior is very well arranged with an island double berth forward, settee that converts to an upper & lower berths to port, a dinette that will convert to a double berth to starboard, a compact galley aft behind the dinette and an enclosed head aft to port. The vessel has been stored under cover for the also eleven years and shows very nicely.

Manufacturer Model History
The Wellcraft name is one of the most recognized in the marine industry. From a small "Mom & Pop" manufacturer back in the 1950's, Wellcraft grew to be one of the U.S.'s largest boat manufactures. During the 1970's and 1980's, Wellcraft's growth was remarkable. The company's product placement in TV shows like "Miami Vice" helped make their brand a household word. The recession of the early 1990's did slow the company, however by the end of the decade, under the ownership of Genmar, Wellcraft was back on top as one of America's largest boat manufactures.

The 3200 St. Tropez is without a question, one of the company's all-time best sellers. The boat was introduced in 1985 and brought a European flare to the U.S. express cruiser market. With more than 1,700 units sold between 1985 and 1993, Wellcraft had found the perfect combination of modern good looks, spacious accommodations and good performance at a price point that was right on the money. One of the signs of a true classic design is how that design holds-up over the years. While certainly not as edgy as it was in the '80's, the St. Tropez has well proportioned line that have withstood the test of time.....the 3200 St. Tropez is a classic.
Construction Details
The boat is constructed of polyester resin and E-glass knitted fiberglass cloth. The 32's hull is solid fiberglass below the waterline and is cored with Baltek balsa core in the hull sides above the waterline. The hull has 16 degrees of deadrise at the transom and features two running strakes and reversed chines. The stringers are a grid system made of marine grade plywood completely encapsulated with hand-laid fiberglass. The deck layup is similar to the hull's but with the wood coring used to stiffen the walking areas of the deck. The hull to deck joint is a "shoe box" style that is chemically and mechanically fastened and is covered with a stainless steel rub rail.
Vessel Walk-Thru
The cabin is entered on centerline and down two steps. The first thing you notice as you enter is the wide open and free flowing space. There is an island double berth located in the bow (still somewhat usual for a vessel of the size, even today). Aft to starboard is a dinette which will convert to a double berth. Opposite on port is a settee facing the dinette, which will make into a Pullman-style upper and lower berth. Aft of the settee is the head and aft of the dinette is the galley.

Broker's Comments
"River Rogue" appears well cared for and lightly used. She has been kept under cover since the current owner purchased the boat 13 years ago. The boat is very clean and very original. All interior materials (other than the carpet) look to be original. The engine room is quite neat and shows good care. As is the case with many boats of this vintage, there are a few small soft spots in the cockpit deck, but the foredeck feels very solid. The boat's gel-coat looks very good and has benefited greatly from the under-cover storage. Mechanically, the main engines are raw water cooled but seem sound. The risers and manifold have been replaced since new. Overall, I think this St. Tropez is in above average condition and is a nice find.
